He has been the role model for innovation, multi-tasking and entrepreneurship for all. He is a multi-faceted businessman venturing into township development, SEZ, construction, pageants, films, bio-diesel, finance, investments, and medicine to name a few. He is most definitely the powerful leader of significance and great contribution for our nation and the world. It’s no wonder that a man like Rajiv Kashyap is more than a businessman. A hardcore Sagittarian; born on 6th of December in Mumbai, explores wild life with huge sense of adventure and enjoys wild life photography passionately. He explores many fascinating sports with equal strength and achiever’s spirit. He is not only the truly professional scuba-diver and parasailor, but also shares sports like golf, snooker, cricket, chess and ice skating with keen delight. He has a passion for travel in luxurious style. It’s so amazing that this serious fan of cars is also a writer by choice. He not only writes stories for his own movies but also shown his creative brilliance in the conceptual work for his films.
Rajiv was the youngest of the siblings. He was a real naughty kid. So it goes without saying that he was a real pain in the neck for parents. What is most amusing is that in spite of standing most of school days either outside his class or in principle’s office in St. Xavier’s High School, Ville Parle, Mumbai, he was so smart and intelligent that he would end up being topper in his class without mundane muggings or revisions. He was the daily prankster just equally well known for his brilliance as well. As a 4th grader, he would use his leg plastered in an accident for getting his homework done by his friends and enjoy playing football himself in the breaks. When his teacher questioned him about it, he sharply replied that foot ball was recommended by his doctor for improving his foot. His teacher asked him further on reason to get his friends to do his homework, as his legs might be fractured not his hands, which would be needed for doing homework, were just fine. Then reluctantly he had to start doing his homework by himself thereafter. Due to late marks and bunks from the class for sports and pranks, every other day, his mother was called to school almost everyday. The quick witted Rajiv would present his elder sister as his guardian in school by misleading an invite of a non existent school-party to his sister. Then she would land up in front of complaints from the teacher against Rajiv instead of a party. Gradually, he started bribing his elder sister for listening to all the complaints and for not reporting it to his parents. What a mastermind! No one was spared from his pranks. He would circulate all the spicy tales of mass-bunking, principle’s rounds, and the punishments on the platter to all. When he passed S.S.C exams, his teachers threw party for themselves instead of farewell party for students. Rajiv was a very curious, fearless, adventurous child and use to take a lot of risks. Amusingly, is that he still wonders some times; how is he still alive and without serious injury. Rajiv definitely took all the childhood challenges and made the most of it. Rajiv Kashyap is the C.E.O, the C.M.D, who has got all the pleasures of the world today. Yet his heart yearns and loves for those simple nostalgic moments of childhood, which still exude fun, pleasure and adventure. His heart still goes out in search of those bundles of joy, thrill and innocent spirit of childhood. He is still a child at Heart
From the child artist in movie “Kitabh”, which was shot in his school to modeling in TV commercials like “Bosco Radio”, “Campa Cola” “Dabur Neem Toothpaste” to the co-anchor with Ruby Bhatia to a role of the son to Satish Shah in the sitcom “Ye Hai Zindagi, Rajiv explored entertainment media with sense of experimentation and drive. After the formulation of media companies, he has led it from the front. He has not only been a judge of many contests like Kshitij”, “Malhar” “Powai Youth Festival” among others but also been a spokesperson of his companies and also worked as host and anchor of many programs and the producer with same excellence he showed all his life. As a cherry on the top of the cake, he still continued to enjoy his passion for writing and editing.
Teenager to the enterprising young man with a vision:
As a young man willing to acquire a bike, his parents sent a DD of Rs. 5,000 to the company. The DD returned due to overbooking. This loss became his gain as he started his bank account and his quest for success from the same money again. Instead of buying another bike, this Rajasthani lad worked furiously for 6 years of his college to multiply that amount. It took him 6 years to turn that first DD of Rs. 5,000 into 15 crores, which was the foundation of Krishna Group of Companies and Fact Group of Companies. It didn’t come as easy as it appears. He did his pursuit for it through some shares, bulk deals, land deals, etc. He made crores and lost them just as well. By the time he graduated from L.S. Raheja, Santacruz-west, Mumbai, he had crores in his bank account. But he lost it all in the highly infamous Harshad Mehta’s scam. Just as it happens in films, he had lost it all except for himself. After the huge fall and failing to recovery his debts from the people, he restarted his growth again. Suddenly from nowhere, his life took an interesting turn as destiny had planned something unimaginable in his wildest night mare happened. As he was waiting for an associate near Andheri station, a newspaper flew in his direction. It flew back to him, even as he had returned it to the vendor. He finally purchased it, reluctantly. From the paper in unknown language, he found an English ad for MBA course . He took the challenge and in turn got admission through grueling series of selection. After going through few horrifying experiences and a number of unnecessary operations, he came back alive from ashes, just like a phoenix. Then he turned his vegetative state into a marvel and created 34 companies worth more than 1.5 billion dollars. This and his further adventures will be shown in a beautiful movie - “Aankha – the unknown” From writer of movies, to owner of concepts of pageants to a producer seriously involved in all the aspects of film making, he does it all with sense of dedication, determination and commitment. Once he makes up his mind on something there is no turning back, he will achieve whatever he has set his mind on. He is a man beyond the words like impossible. He has achieved the impossible. He continues to work 14 hours a day yet he thinks that he is under worked. But the world appreciates his genius for sure. It shows in the national and international awards he has won like Indian Achievers Award, Udyog Ratna Award, Bharat Gaurav Puraskar , A Marvel (Thailand) , Pride of Asia (Muscat ), King of Pageants (Dubai), Best Citizen Award, Best Corporate Citizen Award, Welfare of Under-privileged Children Award, National Contribution Award, Youngest Entrepreneur (London), Young Achiever Award (Singapore) and All India Achievers Award etc. Yet it doesn’t say enough about the man of his stature, he is a world citizen.
He is a real generous supporter of some serious social causes. He is involved in various activities like charity, donation to orphans, street child development, Juhu ALM development, sea front development etc. He is seriously committed to causes like child development, rural education and rural medical facilities. He is also the valuable part of the managing community of many associations. Then again, he supports Help Age India, Good Samaritan, Sparsh Suicide Prevention Organization, and Slum Redevelopment Organization among many others, as an active member.
For man who has it all and gives the world all, he has few more dreams on the list yet to be fulfilled. He has a dream to travel the whole world in a hot air balloon and stay in a tree house in a solicitude confinement centrally located in a forest near a water hole. However, it’s no surprise for a car lover he is that he has a dream to participate in a cross-country auto race.
